The famous Ring Of Kerry day tour is one of the most popular day tours in Ireland. This tour is most efficiently carried out by clients who are staying in Killarney but can be done, in a shortened form, from either Kenmare or Dingle. The tour is a circumnavigation of the Iveragh Peninsula in County Kerry and Follows the coastline around the Peninsula to take in some of the most beautiful photo stops in Ireland.
The tour distance and time are approximate and will depend on whether or not users visit each location in the order listed. As with all of our tours, the most important highlights have been marked on your map with a green map icon.

An important point to understand when planning deviations to this tour, is that there is an unwritten rule that this tour must be carried out in an anti-clockwise direction. The reason for this is that there are some extremely narrow roads on the final quarter of this tour, and at some points, there is room for just one vehicle. From Lunchtime onwards, there will be a steady stream of vehicles (including large coaches) coming through there. An exception to this rule is if you would like to do a shortened version of the tour having your first (and furthest) stop at Ladies View (aiming to be there well before lunchtime) and making your way back towards Killarney visiting the remaining stops (Torc Waterful, Muckross House, and Ross Castle). This option would allow time for clients to do the on-site tours of Muckross House and Ross Castle (with the time available for the 90-minute boat ride at Ross Castle). An early evening finish time would also allow time to explore Killarney town.
